I purchased a ZOTAC IONITX-B-E to test for use with ltsp5. Works well but there are some issues.
Installed with lenny and ltsp backports. As is comes up with vesa driver. Gives one X but not good enough. Trying to force nv does not work. Loaded nvidia driver from lenny non-free. This works nice but creates a couple issues. Driver is only available as 686 and some of my via based boxes will not run 686 kernel. I'm reluctant to build my own as 486 as it will create maintanace issues. For now I set the default back to 486 have added an pxe config for that box. I'm concerned that ltsp-update-kernels will revert the default to a 686 kernel. Of more concern adding the nvidia driver overwrites the mesa version of /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so This kills glx support on the other boxes. Any way to deal with this? thanks John ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
