We haev a UNIX network, but trying to move to a new environment with a new
software package.
I have been trying to test Linix with LTSP to support clients and did the
following.
1. Installed Fedora 11
2. Connected 2 network cards (One for Internet and the other for clients/LAN)
3. Downloaded and installed LTSP 5 (everything went well without errors)
4. Connected a WYSE thin-client which came with SUSE Enterprise Linus 10
pre-installed.
5. Changed BIOS in client to use PXE boot. (This is where I go stuck)
I am not sure about the response I should receive. (What I meant is 'how to
know whether the client is connected to the server) The client does not seem to
connect to the server properly. It picks up IP addresses, Mask, Gateway etc.
from the server, but does not proceed. Showed the message "TFTP Open Timeout"
before opening the client desktop.
Could anyone help me to continue from this point.? I spent a lot of time
trying to figure it out on my own, but I am lacking that knowledge.
I'd appreciate any help. This is the first time, I am in this forum. If there
is a place I look into find answers, I would be happy to read them.
Thanks
