As long as you have the right repository, yes. I'm no longer using SuSE, but a 
quick look at the website gives me these uls:
http://en.opensuse.org/Package_Repositories
http://en.opensuse.org/Additional_package_repositories

I'm not using kiwi-ltsp (the SuSE version of LTSP) but according to this SuSE 
documentation, yes ("increasing performance on low end client hardware"):

Check also "Customizing_thin_client_behaviour" on the same url, for other 
variables. You will find the complete variables list in the Edubuntu handbook 
or in the Ltsp upstream documentation.
