Hi list - I just setup the latest kiwi/ltsp on open SusE11.2 and getting happier by the minute :-)
- one thing though...if I boot up a TC (I'm using my DELL Precision M90 laptop for this...), I have KDE4 sound albeit no means of adjusting the volume. - From the TC I go into KDE4/Multimedia System Settings, I then see 3 sound systems: ALSA default output OSS default output Pulse Audio When clicked all produce the well-known KDE sound, (too)loud and clear. The 'OSS' causes a KDE-popup to open, saying something like 'KDE Multimediasound not working, using Pulse Audio a fallback' (translated from danish, so I'm not sure of the exact wording). I then try to fire up Kmix from the KDE-menu. It doesn't launch. If I open up a shell (from within the desktop of the TC) and give 'kmix', I just get my prompt back. No nothing. So, I miss two things... A volume control Sound from (say) youtube. Any hints, what logs/outputs can I send to help? -- ------------------------------ Med venlig hilsen/Best regards Verner Kjærsgaard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Throughout its 18-year history, RSA Conference consistently attracts the world's best and brightest in the field, creating opportunities for Conference attendees to learn about information security's most important issues through interactions with peers, luminaries and emerging and established companies. http://p.sf.net/sfu/rsaconf-dev2dev _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
