I am trying to install LSTP 4.2 on Mandriva 2010. I seems to be working ok even
with some packges from 2009.1. nfs-utils from 2010 does not work with ltsp
4.2 and there is no portmap or at least i did not find it. So i installed
nfs-utils-1.1.5-1mdv2009.1.i586.rpm
nfs-utils-clients-1.1.5-1mdv2009.1.i586.rpm portmap-6.0-4mdv2009.1.i586.rpm
and this solved the problem.
If i connect a usb memory on the client, i can use it if i go to the Drives
directory under the user but there is no icon displayed on the desktop of the
client.
Could someone tell me how to make those icons appear in the desktop once the
usb memory is plugged on the client? There where very good instructions about
this on the LTSP site but they are not available anymore. Once i installed ltsp
4.2 under Mandriva 2009 using this instructions and the icons worked ok. I am
getting older a my memory is terrible so i do not remember how i did it.
Apreciate any help.
