You wanna know what's freakin weird? I just got my QuickCam Pro 9000 video working too (though still doesn't work in Youtube webcam upload even w/FF+flash as a localapp, or Skype - Ekiga works fine though) in LTSP. Ran cheese as a localapp to test the cam - I wasn't part of the 'video' group initially I think and it was giving me grief. Happy with the quality of the video..though I can't get audio from it to work yet. Have you?
