Hello, We are using LTSP (packed with Ubuntu 10.04) and we have 2 sorts of lightweight terminals. Performances are quite different, but it seems that one material has some problem. Let us call MGood and MBad the two sorts of machines. Using "vmstat 5", one can see that
On MBad: ----cpu---- us sy id wa 12 11 16 61 3 2 0 95 3 1 0 95 3 2 0 91 ........ and on MGood: ----cpu---- us sy id wa 2 1 96 0 0 100 0 0 100 0 0 100 0 ......... So on MBad, CPU is quite always waiting for IO, and not on MGood. The CPU is permanently busy on Mbad. Of course, thess machines are a bit different: -lspci says: (On MBad): 00:00.0 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8623 [Apollo CLE266] 00:01.0 PCI bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc.
