I've got a problem with sending emails through Openoffice. Openoffice I'm running as a server app whilst my email client Thunderbird runs as a localapp.
The issue is with the temp files which openoffice stores in the /tmp directory on the server. The client localapps cannot see this directory and therefor cannot attach the file to the email. Is there a nice way to solve this? Is it recommended to share the /tmp dir from the server so that localapps can write/read from it? The current work around I have is to make a directory in the users home dir called tmp, then tell openoffice to put the file there as both server apps and localapps can read the users home directory. -- Michael Pope ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ThinkGeek and WIRED's GeekDad team up for the Ultimate GeekDad Father's Day Giveaway.
