I did a original howto for Atom/NVidia-motherboard with Ubuntu 9.04. 
That box is now a MythTV box. I just tested that box as a thin client. 
After that someone have added in section about xorg.conf - "This is not 
necessary for Ubuntu 9.10 and 10.04!!"

But maybe you should try to add extra xorg.conf for Intel graphics 
(GMA950)? I do not know.

Anyway, look that howto, maybe it helps you somehow/gives some thoughts.
