We do this, and we find flash video to be the biggest consumer of CPU cycles on the thin client. Youtube video, for example causes the rdesktop and one other process (xorg?) to get busy. Youtube is unwatchable on our HP t5735 (actually watchable, but unlistenable), but works fine on our newer Atom D510, even with HD video (although the picture is a little choppy in full screen). pulseaudio is another hog, but we use SOUND=False in lts.conf to prevent it, and sound is smoother, CPU usage is reduced. db ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Benefiting from Server Virtualization: Beyond Initial Workload Consolidation -- Increasing the use of server virtualization is a top priority.Virtualization can reduce costs, simplify management, and improve application availability and disaster protection.
