Thanks Rob, Reverting back to LDM, I can login but get only an xterm and a spinning wheel. Will try out 11.04 32 bit OS LTSP install off cd. Back to basics you might say. Was hoping the 64 bit thing worked out. I'll take 32 if it is simpler.
