We wrote that doc ages ago, and have a considerably revised and expanded one internally. The most important thing not there is that we use the 'nonamespace' option to get some stuff working. I'll hopefully update the doc soon, its on my todo list. Like yourself we run a number of LTSP servers as Linux-Vserver guest machines. The minimal overhead is great.
