Hello everybody.

Installing a brand new 12.04 LTSP server from scratch.

Server is 64 bits Desktop 12.04 LTS with all updates

Clients are old 386 machines, so "ltsp-build-image --arch i386"

lts.conf contains (in [default section]):

# For thin client console
CONSOLE_KEYMAP = fr
# For ldm and the rest
XKBLAYOUT = fr

Just like I've done up to now...

I give a password to root in the image and run a
ltsp-update-image --arch i386

Boot the thin client. OK. LDM shows up and accepts french keyboard
layout for login/password.

Switch to console. Here I'm back to US keyboard layout!

Login anyway, and try to use loadkeys: loadkeys fr
System answers:
"unknown charset unicode - ignore charset request
Loading fr"
and hangs right there. A CTRL+C gives me back the shell
prompt and I'm now in french keyboard...

"getlscfg -a" shows the correct lts.conf values for CONSOLE_KEYMAP and
the rest....

It's not my first LTSP server (around 60 installs so far), but it's my
first with 12.04. Am I missing something ? "man lts.conf" does not show
any difference with prior versions concerning console keymaps.

I've also tried "ltsp-build-client --arch i386 --locale fr_FR.UTF-8"
with same results.

Any hint ? Thanx.
