Now, that seems to be a pointer in the right direction!
There is a bugreport about this:

Try (in a terminal)

     export QT_GRAPHICSSYSTEM=native
     kile

and see if that brings Kile's speed back to normal. Then you can place 
the export command in a startup script, I'd suggest
/etc/X11/Xsession.d/99qtfix
