LDM is a piece of software that runs on the client hardware, and uses SSH to
connect to the server.

It's probably not feasible to run as an android app, as it is a login manager,
and will start a desktop environment that will likely fight with the running
Android OS.

It's also complicated to set up LDM in a non-LTSP environment unless you really
understand it well. You might want to first try setting it up on a more
conventional computer with your preferred operating system installed before
getting into installing it into a more unusual environment.

There are some thin-client options built for Raspberry PI, or you could 
possibly 
build an LTSP environment with raspbian:

  http://raspbian.org

Alternately, maybe use Debian's armel port with a kernel from raspbian.
