I'm beginning to use Puppet to control my ltsp-cluster. I need all my app servers to look alike, e.g., every app server needs to have the latest version of R, MATLAB, SAS, etc.
I thought that making machines look alike would be more of a push-button solution out of the box, but it appears I need to learn to write better Puppet modules to do this. It doesnt appear to be difficult but I'm just getting started. Seems like a good solution for ltsp-cluster. Not sure about its uses with LTSP in general.
