Hello,

I'm running Debian 7.1 with some thin clients and I'm using a compiled
version of Mozilla Thunderbird 17.0.8.

One of the thin clients today had a rather large email (12.5MB) and it
crashed not only thunderbird but X as well which dropped it off the LTSP
server all together and it didn't even reconnect to the login screen.

I've ran the same test using Virtualbox as a PXE boot machine (which I
do for diagnostics sometimes) and I cannot make the X windows crash in
here, although I can make thunderbird crash and I get the following error;
(thunderbird:28595): GLib-GObject-WARNING **:
/tmp/buildd/glib2.0-2.33.12+really2.32.4/./gobject/gsignal.c:3397:

I've heard this same problem exists in Icedove, so it's not worth even
using that.

Is there a way to run thunderbird on the client in a sandbox so that it
doesn't crash my whole X session and throw the thin client off the
network? I've tried running through ssh -X but that crashed my thin
client also.

Michael
