Hello everyone,
im just wondering if there is any performance gain in using multicast.
Im using Ubuntu 12.04 ltsp in some schools. So in some classes we have
15 PCs which would boot at the same time.
Could there be any use of multicast?
Right now I don't have the right Switch for this to test myself but
maybe some one can help me out.
This is fascinating as a concept, but multicast is better for media
streaming, where realtime transit is needed, not any flexibility in when
and where content is streamed. I suppose you could do it way satellite
broadband does it, though. That is called time-division multiplexing.
