It should work, but it's been a while since I've tested Debian Jessie; changes
to various packages could break things...

Some USB external hard disks get labeled as non-removable. try adding to 
lts.conf:

  LOCALDEV_DENY_INTERNAL_DISKS=false

Log into a root shell on the console (i.d recommend using SCREEN_02=shell
rather than setting a root password, but to each their own), and run:

  tail -F /var/log/ltspfs_fstab

Then plug and uplug the devices and see if they show up there...


On another root shell (SCREEN_03=shell, maybe):

  udevadm info -q env -n /dev/sda

The variables it outputs might be telling. Compare working devices with non-
working devices...


I'll give Debian Jessie another try and see if I have similar problems.
