I have installed Edubuntu 14.04 LTS on VmWare virtual machine. Machine has
the following settings:
- memory: 512MB
- 1 processor (2 cores)
- 16 GB HDD
- Network Adapter 1 bridged to eth0 (wired interface meant for LTSP server)
- Network Adapter 2 bridged to wlan0 (WiFi connection to the Internet)
- other settings left default
On my Raspberry Pi I have berryterminal-standalone-20131225 distribution
and I have Raspberry connected to the eth0 via crossover cable. After
plugging Raspberry to power supply I can see the LTSP welcome screen. I
type in username and password and then I wait for xsession to start.
Unfortunately there is only an X-cursor on black screen. After pressing
ctrl-alt-F1 I am able to read some logs. It seems to me that most important
part of the log is this:
_FontTransOpen: Unable to Parse address ${prefix}/share/fonts/X11/misc/
[dix] Could not init font path element ${prefix}/share/fonts/X11/misc/,
removing from the list!
Also, when I switch back to the empty xscreen and move/click mouse, there
appears an additional info on the log screen:
(EE) FBDEV(0): FBIOBLANK: Operation not permitted
May someone give me some solution to this problem? I have tried to find
some answers on ubuntu/debian/general linux forums, but none seemed
appropriate.
