I've just put the following into my
/var/lib/tftpboot/ltsp/amd64/lts.conf file and rebooted the fat client.
It didn't automatically login, it also didn't change the hostname of
the system to 'foo'.

[Default]
SCREEN_02=shell
SCREEN_07=ldm

[08:00:27:0C:E0:3E]
HOSTNAME=foo
LDM_AUTOLOGIN=true
LDM_USERNAME=xbmc
LDM_PASSWORD=xbmc

So it's not picking up my lts.conf file. I even tried rebuilding the
image after this change with 'ltsp-update-image -c /' still no luck.
