Could it be a QT-problem? We had a similar issue with OpenSuse/KDE.
If so: create /etc/profile.local with export QT_GRAPHICSSYSTEM=native in it.
Have a look at https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:KIWI-LTSP_troubleshooting (bottom of the page; slow KDE applications on the thinclients)

good luck

Hello....

Installed LTSP on ubuntu 14:04, and client computers are very slow after login.

I've tried putting various parameters ...

LDM_DIRECTX = True

and others...

But all attempts unsuccessfully...

I'm logging in with a notebook DELL i7, and other old computers.

Has anyone experienced this problem?
