Interesting that GNOME 2 version has better rendering of Greek characters
than another, perhaps because it has been around longer? Alkis had said
that Mate was lighter weight than Unity, I didn't know that it was lighter
than GNOME 3. But just did some further reading and looks like GNOME 3 does
also want 3D hardware acceleration like Unity.
