There should be no reason we need to compile anything specifically for the 
Octeon targets.  The upstream fix (which has been back ported to -stable trees) 
is:

commit bf28607fbe529e20180080c4a0295b0a47834fde (MIPS: Close races in TLB 
modify handlers.)

Without this fix it is possible for the urcu to crash the kernel under heavy 
loads.

And yes, I'll now send the revised changes for the urcu which pass all the mips 
tests on the Octeon, malta BE / LE etc...
