Please make sure that, when you test from a user account (not root), you don't have a per-user sessiond running. If a user is not part of the tracing group, it will spawn its own lttng-sessiond to trace its own application. This would explain why you don't see anything in the root sessiond debug log. Also, there seems to be an issue with starting the 32-bit consumerd, as far as I understand the logs. I'll let David look into this further.
