I guess the argument in this particular case is that it's only this *very 
particular* font that we're trying to ignore. I don't mind ignoring each and 
every font with filename LastResort.ttf if that makes more sense to you.

But up until now I've been assuming that OSFONTDIR will not have been set. I'll 
need to do more testing if we're changing texmf.cnf to allocate OSFONTDIR to 
the system font locations.
