Hi. man luarocks says: list Lists currently installed rocks.
This means (i.e. it's a feature, not a bug) that it doesn't detect installed modules. E.g. if I've done aptitude install liblua5.1-posix1 in order to get a version of luaposix less out-of-date than the 5.1.2 offered as a rock, then luarocks list can't see it. However, it is there, and from the user's POV it would be useful to be informed that it's there. Seems to me it might be useful to have something like: luarocks LIST luarocks longlist luarocks listall which would just traverse the require-path reporting all modules. Perhaps even also the full filenames, to make it easy to find the source; perhaps also pointing out module-name conflicts and version-conflicts, and which file will actually get invoked by a "require". (I realise though that version information is carried in the rock and tarball, rather than in the module...) (Apologies if this is a discredited old topic.)
