Recently there was a long thread on [Luarocks-developers] that started as "Handling multiple local trees" and evolved into "LuaRocks into a Linux distribution (DEB/RPM)." Where I was initially hoping the thread was going is: "How to maintain separate simultaneous deployment of Lua 5.1, 5.2, and LuaJIT 2." It would be really nice if LuaRocks knew how to build and install rocks for all three environments. I'm sure I don't know how to do it well manually, and there may or may not be an accepted standard way to do it. If LuaRocks supported a way to do it, that would become a kind of standard. Perhaps few people have this problem, but as an occasional library developer, it's nice to be able to test on all three platforms easily. e ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
