I have removed rocks on request before, but the more I think about it,
the more I think I shouldn't, because who knows what dependencies
people have in their private repositories. As a downstream packager
I've been bitten a number of times when upstream decided to prune
their repos, so I think it's nicer to not erase history. Older
versions, in particular, are not problematic to keep around because
they're evidently not the recommended file to use (and the tool picks
the latest version by default). For outdated projects, it's a harder
call as users may end up picking the wrong one, so maybe there should
be some kind of "deprecated" tag next to them, instead.
