I don't see any dependencies marked in the repository, but I can't be
sure that some user's private rockspecs do not depend on it.

The rockspec contains a small patch for Lua 5.1 compatibility.

Perhaps instead of removing them, we could mark them as deprecated?
(This could be easily hacked with, say, a new revision for each
writing "[deprecated]" in their descriptions, and a not saying
something like "use luaposix instead".)
