That is the obvious question, isn't it... well, my approach is somewhat
different from luasockets. I restrict myself to what I percieve as the most
common use cases of socket programming, and attempting to make those things
easy. Also, in my approach everything (apart from select, and, if you wish to
count them, dns resolutions) is non-blocking. Basically this started out as a
proposal for a socket programming library for codea, which has quite specific
requirements, but in the course of implementing it, I found that is makes for a
reasonably useful general socket programming library.
