The Windows batch file processor has since improved a lot, so that e.g. one
can redirect output from a batch file to stdout, etc. But the detailed
semantics do differ slightly. It's worth revisiting this issue.
luadist has been packing Windows scripts as executables for a while, but
they use srlua which is more cross-platform. Current wrapper uses Windows
resources.
