Weird. This old bug report mentions that a libodbc.so symlink was added from upstream. http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=171370 My copy of libiodbc certainly includes libodbc.so. But I just installed unixodbc to test and your module just built fine. I just uploaded the module to the repo.
