Hello, Here's the second release candidate of LuaRocks 2.1.0, which features bugfixes and new features.
This improves the use of LuaRocks with both Lua 5.1 and 5.2 installations, reporting search results based on the Lua version you're using. It is also the first version that advertises the option of installing itself as a rock (on Unix platforms for now). This is a release candidate: if no problems are reported, these packages will be renamed into the final versions. http://luarocks.org/releases/luarocks-2.1.0-rc2.tar.gz http://luarocks.org/releases/luarocks-2.1.0-rc2-win32.zip What's new since 2.1.0-rc1: * LuaRocks now removes old versions (when safe) after installing a new version of a package. This is a major change for an rc2 but I wanted to get it pushed for 2.1.0 and I got little feedback from the github branch, so let's push it to a wider audience. * improvements in the dependency format error messages * fix in copy command for Windows platforms * other minor bugfixes What's new since 2.0.13: * accesses manifest-{5.1,5.2} in remote servers to provide filtered results * 'make bootstrap' is now an advertised option * security config options 'accepted_build_types' and 'hooks_enabled' * 'lua_version' is now available as a global for your config.lua * new flags --lr-path, --lr-cpath, --lr-bin for 'luarocks path' for use in scripts * friendlier error messages * plus bugfixes As usual, see the GitHub logs for detailed history. And as always, any kind of feedback for this release candidate is much appreciated. -- Hisham http://hisham.hm/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ See everything from the browser to the database with AppDynamics Get end-to-end visibility with application monitoring from AppDynamics Isolate bottlenecks and diagnose root cause in seconds.
