I'm still having trouble getting up and running on luarocks. I'd be grateful if an expert could have a look at my repository at:
https://github.com/JohnHind/Lua_Bitfield/ and advise if the rockspec looks OK. When I try this version on my Windows 8 (64 bit) computer, it complains about 'git' not being recognised as a command. My previous attempt got further then complained similarly about 'cl'. I guess this is all PATH stuff - I manually edited in the path to the luarocks\2.1 directory, but this does not contain either 'git' or 'cl'. A suggestion: would it not be possible to distribute ALL the command line tools luarocks needs in this directory and then use a locally derived path to them which does not depend on the PATH variable? I fear that too much fiddling about with the PATH variable will break something else, and this stuff is by no means easy for the ordinary Windows user! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ October Webinars: Code for Performance Free Intel webinars can help you accelerate application performance.
