I assumed that the generic Unix instructions would be enough, but perhaps a "Installation instructions for Mac OSX" link would be nice to have there, alongside Unix and Windows: http://luarocks.org/en/Download I'm out of the loop in the OSX world, so I don't know what would be the best to recommend... maybe it should have three sections for Homebrew, MacPorts and "installing straight to /usr/local" (probably just pointing to the Unix page).
