Hi Peter.
This might be related to the recent change in the main rocks repository's
url.
Try the following: Look for a file called upload_config.lua (in my
particular case, it is located at
C:\Users\Ignacio\AppData\Roaming\luarocks\upload_config.lua
So if you're on linux it should be on ~/.luarocks/upload_config.lua or
something like that.
Edit it and replace the server with:
server = "https://luarocks.org";
