I think I will use that for future projects; it has 117 downloads
against 44 for datadumper and looks to be better code and better
maintained. But in the meantime I have four modules and especially
six test-scripts that use datadumper, eg:
  http://www.pjb.com.au/comp/lua/test_mi.lua
which I don't want to have to rewrite.
The datadumper code works on 5.3, the only problem is lua>=5.1,<5.3

So what I suggest is: I adopt datadumper, broaden the dependencies,
and put in some "this module will soon become deprecated,
please move to serpent instead" message in the description ... ?

Also: This would also guide searchers looking for a module to
dump data towards serpent; currently it's not so easy to find.
( I guess that's why CPAN encouraged a descriptive
  Funtionalitygroup/Functionality naming scheme. )

Regards, Peter Billam
