The goal is already archived and most of your questions were already
answered.
The _working_ packaging process is done by me for ALTLinux. To look at you
can: (1) fetch any ALTLinux Regular livecd, (2) boot it in a VM and (3) e.g.
> sudo apt-get install lua-module-pelight
to see its magic.
