Hi Taco& the Rest of the List,

I’m sorry if this question sounds stupid, but I’m wondering for
what reason the ‘format()’ of slnunicode uses Lua’s string length
mechanism instead of ‘utf8_count()’?

Luatex is repackaging the existing selene unicode library:

http://luaforge.net/projects/sln/

so can you please report the issue there? I am not eager
to include local patches.

OTOH, I already have a local patch it seems, so adding another
would not be that big a deal. It would still be better if the fix
was created upstream, though.

Best wishes,
Taco
