I get the attached output with large delimiters with pdftex and
unstretched ones with 0.87.
(Since I compiled this myself for cygwin, and patched the format
building, it's possible that I just have things set up wrong but I
thought I'd flag it anyway)
i'll check it (i probably have to check some more 8 bit math)
