Hi!
I have tried TL16 on different computers running Linux by now and one thing I
noticed is the following:
\documentclass{minimal}
\begin{document}
\immediate\write18{uname -s > "foobar"}
\end{document}
With
pdflatex --shell-escape test.tex
the file foobar is created. With
lualatex --shell-escape test.text
it is not. Can someone confirm this?
This seems to break (at least)
minted.sty (which tries to do \write18{which "pygmentize" && touch
\jobname.aex})
and
ifplatform.sty.
