Hello Deepak, as far as I know, there is no such thing as a "Lua only" mode with TeX capabilities enabled (but I can't give an authoritative answer). I have the same issue and my stub is the following

While I'd really appreciate a "no TeX mode", I don't have any problems with this setup. It works just fine and never gets in my way. Patrick
