Is the disk by chance copy protected or of a different format than the traditional 1.44MB? dd can't copy those things over. If the disk is just of a different format (like 1.7MB), you can probably reformat the destination floppy using "superformat" if you're able to figure out what format it's in.

I have a master of "DiskEraser" and I tried to make a copy of a floppy disk by using the following commands:

dd if=/dev/fd0 of=/home/tmp/wipe.flp (from floppy to harddrive)

then:

dd if=/home/tmp/wipe.flp of=/dev/df0

when I tried to activate the program from boot by using the floppy... I received the following error message:

corrupted disk, will not run boot.

any advise?

Ralph
