I was wondering if anyone could make a suggestion for hardware for a LTSP server that could, without slowdowns support 60 simultaneous clients that would be able to run mozilla, star/open office apps, gimp, perhaps ximian evolution and, of course, a popular desktop envronment like gnome or kde (all at the same time). Approximately how much memory should it need? What kind of CPU(s)? Perhaps someone could suggest a ready server product from ibm or compaq or alike? Also, do graphic apps (such as the Gimp) and presentation software create a lot of network traffic when used on a thin client?
Thanks Mike, the "I neva dun dat stuff"
