Is this source or binaries? Compiling GNOME from scratch (at least 1.2 and 1.4) is a royal pain even after writing shell scripts to help you out. I wish you the best of luck.

If it's source, you can pass it off to me and I can try to build some bins for people.

I have GNOME 2.0 downloaded. Don't have time to play with it now but will burn a copy if anyone is interested.

BTW, about the Linux desktop stuff. I am really tired of people critizing it without actually spending time exploring all the options.

I run a law office and I am running a Linux desktop exclusively. Understandably, the Linux desktop is used on at my personal level and it will take some time to move to my entire office, but this has a lot more to do with logistics than functionality.

I don't think anyone will run a Linux server right out from a Linux distro box.

Ditto Linux desktops. Actually, there are several distinct advantages of using a Linux desktop over Windows.
