Honestly John, I doubt if I could write a better letter. I wasn't even trying to criticize your letter, just trying to point out that personal comments about somebody on a public, archived, online forum might not be the best idea.
And, you're right, it was somebody else who referred to the writer guy as a jerk. I wasn't intending to imply that you'd said that. Sorry if I did without realizing it. I was not, in fact, trying to make anybody directly look bad, or flame anyone, just trying to point out that negative personal remarks about anybody is not a good thing, and gave a couple of examples I'd noticed.
