In Red Hat just copy the font file into one of the fonts folder listed in
chkfontpath like
/usr/share/fonts/ja/TrueType
That's where I put the Arial Unicode font from microsoft.  Unfortuantely
that font doesn't seem to work well for Japanese characters in the English
version of StarOffice 6.0. =(

Then you need to restart xfs... which will also kill X so might as well
init 3 && init 5
