In case anyone has not noticed, x86-64 is now here and kicking. (We are witnessing the dawning of a new era, my friends!)

The x86-64 port has been accepted by Marcelo Tosatti into 2.4.20pre1.
This means 2.4.20 from kernel.org will support x86-64 out of the box.
