[luau] Mandrake

My previous experience is with RedHat,I want to try Mandrake.
I have been to the Mandrake hardware site and seem to be in good shape.
When I go to the UH mirror,I see many paths...I don't have broadband,but
a friend does, and I think I can get him to dload for us and burn to CD.
Do I want the i586/CD1&2 ? Like stated seems you can go, 'current',or
Mandrake,or i586..What would be the proper path for this. TKX
